Is Atco beginning to scout venues? Internet sleuths have been tracking the publicly available flight data of Atco's Cessna Citation M2 (otherwise known as Air Atco) since August. Nine flight paths in particular offer titillating possibilities. For example, on August 16, Air Atco touched down in Monterrey, California, home to some of the best golf courses in the U.S. including Cypress Point and Pebble Beach. On August 31, Air Atco flew 1300 miles from Shreveport, Louisiana to Francis S. Gabreski Airport on Long Island, New York. Quaich enthusiasts noted that this small, private airport is within 25 miles of the ultra exclusive Shinnecock Hills, National Golf Links of America and Sebonack golf clubs. Two weeks later, Air Atco departed Shreveport early in the morning, landing 5 hours later at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, which serves the spectacular Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Oregon coast. Perhaps most intriguing, on October 10, Air Atco completed a day trip between Shreveport, Louisiana and Augusta, Georgia.
Efforts to reach Atco for comment have been unsuccessful. Let the speculation begin!
